Mommy & Emma- Thanksgiving 2006

Emma Grace- almost 7 months old

The weather was so nice today, so I took Emma for a walk to our neighborhood park. Jack, our ferocious jack russell terrier, came with us. Emma's first experience on a swing was in Indiana over Thanksgiving. The top picture shows what she thought of that. Every time the swing went forward, she would clench her hands into a fist, tighten all of her muscles and grimace. (I think that she will take after me and my dislike for roller coasters.)

Emma loves being outside... she studies everything- always with a very perplexed look on her face. When the wind blows in her face, she giggles and gasps. As you can see from the second picture, she had a much better experience on the swing today! It is so much fun to take her places and watch her react to new things.

We've heard that Emma's cousin, Carter (exactly 3 weeks older than Emma), is crawling quite proficiently. We feel the competition and have enrolled Emma in an elite crawling course. She should crawling around in no time- we'll keep you posted!
