I know it has been a while since I posted, I have been gone on yet another trip and am in the process of packing for Greenville, South Carolina. Last weekend Emma and I went up to D.C. to take care of my niece and nephew while my sister and bro-in-law were away on a missions trip. We had a great time, with relatively no major ordeals. I've noticed a few bumps, bruises and scratches on Emma- but have no idea how she got them! Erica and Steven just bought a beautiful townhome outside of D.C.- the only bad thing about it is that it has 4 flights of stairs and a very open floor plan. Emma and Carter(who is 3 weeks older than Emma) are absolutely fascinated with climbing the stairs, so you can imagine how busy I stayed trying to set up roadblocks! I've also changed my mind about every wanting twins-as if I would have a say in it anyway-
Regan and Carter were so good. Emma was very entertained by them and loved having playmates.
So now I'm home again, but not for long. I should be packing right now, but I have zero motivation- probably because I just got finished unpacking yesterday. I'm so excited about Mark & Jen's wedding on Saturday, but I want to skip this whole packing process. Anyone want to pack for me?
Well, you might think this is funny, but isn't this just the way things work? Michael gave me a certificate to a spa for our anniversary last December. I was so excited- because all you pianists out there know that our nails hardly every look pretty. I've only had my nails done once- for our wedding, so it was a special treat to look forward to, and I wanted to save it for something special. SO all year long I saved my gift card and scheduled my appointment 2 months in advance for tomorrow- right before we head to S.C for the wedding. Well, yesterday I got a message from the spa informing me that the nail tech would not be in on Wednesday- isn't that sad? (or is it just revealing my superficial side!)
Anyway. Life is busy right now, and I'm looking forward to going nowhere after this trip for a little while. Emma's 1st birthday is tomorrow. I'll post pictures soon from her birthday party and from the wedding...
....................i guess I'll go start packing now.

Early happy birthday to Emma!!!!! I remember how fun it was to visit you both in the hospital - what a cutie!!!! And who would have thought we would each be able to visit our new babies in the hospital?? I had heard that Mr. Stanfield was not well, but did he pass away?? I hadn't heard. How sad - he was always such a cutie. And yeah for Emma walking!!!!! Isn't it hilarious to watch how determined they can be? Adrianna only gets about 6 or 7 steps and then sits on her bum, and gets up and tries again. You sound so crazy busy and deserve a medal for all the trips you've taken - Emma will be a seasoned traveler. Miss you guys!!!
