Happy 30th Birthday Erica!

Erica is 15 months older than me- which means my 30th is just 15 months away and counting!!! I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for my big sis. She has been a consistent godly example, my friend, and inspiration. We've shared lots of laughs and hugs, many tears, so many joys growing up ~ now we each have been blessed with loving husbands and precious children. Some one once said to me that a lot of how the younger siblings turn out has to do with the eldest. Although this may not be entirely true, I know that she kept me in line quite a bit ~ which I did not like at the time, but am thankful for now!

Thank you Erica, for being my best friend growing up. For sharing your things with me. Encouraging me with my music. Counseling me. Listening to me. Putting up with my anger management issues. Allowing me to borrow your clothes and stretch out your shoes with my "wide" feet as you said. Laughing into the wee hours of the morning with me and Liz. . . this barely scratches the surface of what you mean to me. And even though we both have busy lives and aren't able to be with each other as much as before, I still love you just the same and hope your year is wonderful.
