storytime

This past week has had it's moments- countless blowout diapers and baths to follow, oodles of laundry, sippy cup refills of pedialyte and nibbling on boring bland foods, a constant odor of lysol, dry hands from washing so often, buckets by each bedside, night time stomach bug attacks resulting in a repeat of all of the above...

But there have been sweet moments, too. One night I was able to capture Emma reading to Elliot...definitely one of the highlights of my day to listen in and see her be compassionate and helpful all on her own. She is the only one who didn't get sick and she was a huge help to me- in her attitude and in her behavior. Daddy is going to be taking her on a special date to show her how much we appreciated her outstanding response.

Thanks to many friends for offering to pick up needs from the store, bringing by soup, laundry detergent, juice, ginger ale, pedialyte, popsicles...and for friends that are graciously hosting Michael until our house is cleared from the bug completely. Ethan still is sick and contagious...this virus has been brutal and I would imagine that it would put Michael into the hospital if he were to get it so we are trying to be extra careful. That means that it's just been me and the kids here since Sunday afternoon!

We appreciate your continued prayers for recovery.
