Williamsburg

I arrived home from Boston late Wednesday night. On Thursday night, my dad arrived for a short visit. We spent most of Friday at Williamsburg- the weather was beautiful. We must have walked miles trying to see everything! Dad tried to sneak in a few places (to no avail) that were designated for those with freedom passes only. It was enjoyable just to walk around and see all the flowers blooming. I pushed Emma's stroller around the whole day, but I think that she was only IN the stroller for 15 minutes, max. Grandpa held her the whole time- he had to get his "emma fix"! She absolutely loved being on Grandpa's shoulders, and would giggle-giggle-giggle as she pulled and tugged on his hair! Grandpa also bought several new books for Emma (the Little Lamb is her favorite) at B&N's- thanks Dad! That evening, we celebrated Dad's birthday at our house. On Saturday morning, Emma had her pictures taken at JCPenny's photo lab- we got a few smiles out of her, but for some strange reason she was intent on grunting while the photo shoot was taking place. Not just little grunts, either. She would grunt for as long as she could hold her breath(which made her face red)- and then cough(which made her eyes water). It was perplexing! (and, no- she was not working on filling up her pants!) After that, we drove a couple hours and met Erica, Steven, Regan & Carter at a restaurant. Dad spent a couple days with them and then flew back home. We had a nice time with you, Dad- thanks for visiting us!
