Where we've been...

"OOOOooooohhh..."says Emma after opening her Christmas gift from the Great Whitcombs! She liked her new dress very much and hugged it for a while until she remembered about the tissue paper...
For those of you who have not decided what to get Emma for Christmas yet, a bag full of tissues, toilet paper, newspaper or anything else she can rip into small shreds would be perfect (as long as the mess is made at your house, not mine). Christmas will be much more fun for her this year than last!

Isn't this the cutest ever? Grandma & Grandpa gave Emma her first purse and fake cell phone. Looks like she already has this girl thing down!

Emma in her new dress from Grandpa and Grandma. We went to the Hyatt downtown Greenville to see all the Christmas trees.

We spent Thanksgiving with Michael's family this year. Everyone got to be there- even Mark and Jen who flew in Thanksgiving morning! We had such a great time together, that must be why I don't have pictures of everyone :)

Michael's Grandma and me

Michael had his 10-year high school reunion at Bob Jones Academy the Saturday before Thanksgiving- he really enjoyed being able to catch up with old friends and show off Emma. They had a dessert baking contest- I made Carmelitas (thanks for the recipe Tonia and Laurie) and got a Starbucks gift card for winning 2nd place- woohoo! About half of Michael's graduating class attended.

Here's a pretty good picture of the house we recently put a bid on. I do hope that all of my furniture fits in comfortably.

Michael and I were able to get away for a couple days to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We spent some time in Ashville (an eclectic little town to say the least) and an entire day at the Biltmore (my first time there!).
Dinner was a little bit more quiet without Emma.

Michael one the "back porch"- which is probably bigger than the entire size of our townhouse.

We are readjusting to life back home without Grandpa & Grandma to entertain Emma. We'll be busy the next few weeks with Christmas Cantata practices, piano recital, parties, last minute shopping and baking before heading to Indiana for Christmas!
