The time seemed to go by so quickly---and we enjoyed every moment of it! The last day was spent opening gifts, attempting to have an enjoyable meal at the Soup Plantation with three tired girls, and taking more pictures. Our flight departed from LA at 9:50pm and flew through the night. We arrived in Atlanta at 5am (2am CA time). Thankfully I was able to switch seats with a kind person so Emma could lay on two seats to sleep on the flight. I think I may have slept a little bit, but I was exhausted by the time we got to Atlanta! We had a two hour layover before leaving for Newport News and the airport was pretty empty. So I put Emma in her stroller, told her it was night-night time (even though the sun was coming up), put my bags underneath me with the straps around my wrists and took a nap. It wasn't the most restful sleep I've had, but it helped a little bit! We were so glad to see Michael waiting for us when we got home! It took a few days to readjust to the 3 hour time change again, but it was completely worth it!
