We're still here!

It's been an enjoyable yet hectic summer for us. You've probably been checking our blog regularly with high hopes to see an update and thought about giving up on me! I'm not going to make any excuses about the long break from blogworld, but here's what we've been up to (aside from the normal daily duties surrounding life with 2 little ones and a dog who is rebellious):
July 10-20: Missions Trip to Margate, Florida
July 30-August 4: Boston, MA to visit Landry's and my family (I flew alone with the kids)
July 6-8: my sister Liz, brother Sam and his fiance Brittany visited
and Thursday of this week we leave for South Carolina for Michael's ordination.
WOW.
I do think things will settle down a bit after that.
As you can imagine, I have loads of pictures to update but probably won't get to that. I will try to post some on facebook- it's much easier than posting them here (and maybe will be an incentive to those who aren't facebookers yet).
Emma turns 2 this Friday and has graduated from her crib to a toddler bed. It took about 3 days for her to realize that she could get in and out of her bed by herself after we've put her down to sleep. So we are working on that. Most of the time though when she wakes up, she stays in her bed and calls our names to come and get her.
Elliot is growing quickly and seems to be losing his newborn look already. He is 8 weeks old today and is a very good baby. Thankfully he is a great sleeper, too. We are still unsure who he looks like. Most people say he favors the Marcello side, but a lot of people say he doesn't really look like either of us and has his own look. Believe me, I know he's ours! Regardless, he is adorable and loves to be cuddled.
Michael's ordination is this weekend at his dad's church in Greenville, SC. The process is rather rigorous with 6 plus hours of questioning. There are 4 seminaries represented on the council for his ordination. Pray for good health for Michael as well as clarity of mind and speech. Our pastor from our church here will be on the council as well as Jim Newcomer from CBTS. One of the other men on the council, Dr. Lovik, was actually on my dad's ordination council years ago. Dr. Lovik was a professor at Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Landsdale, PA for many years before moving to SC (they now attend Michael's dad's church).
I know that Michael has been preparing for this for a long time- almost his whole life- so this is a big deal. I know he would appreciate your prayers!
Well, that's about all for right now. My intentions were to keep it really short, but my fingers just wouldn't stop they had blogging fever!
