Freezing Frenzy...

There happen to be 3 pregnant ladies in our church (that we are aware of!) and ALL three of us got together today to make freezer meals for our families and eachother's families. We each are expecting our third child. Chris is due at the end of March and Rebecca and I have the same due date. We are hoping to be in the hospital together :).
So we were busy beavers all afternoon. We each made 4-5 dinners and some desserts/breads and divided everything into three. We each came home exhausted, but with a variety of prepared meals to put in our freezers!! Chris's two kids- twins Josh and Katie- took care of Rebecca and my kids for practically the whole time. Note: this would've NEVER worked without Josh and Katie's help! Rebecca making brownies. We had to keep a close eye on her so she didn't eat all the batter :)
Content Elliot. I put him on the floor and gave him a graham cracker. That kept him busy for a little while, but as you can see he made quite the mess!

It was a cold day outside, so we used that to our advantage to store our prepared meals in order to make more counter space in the kitchen.

Chris graciously allowed us to tear apart her beautiful kitchen. We came close to using every pot, pan, knife, spatula and measuring cup she has!

Sometimes you just have to hold your baby. But I couldn't stop working! God gave us mothers curvy hips for a good reason. Elliot is teething again and has a little bit of congestion, so he just wanted mommy.

This picture was taken early on and doesn't do justice to the damage we did when it was all said and done.

I'm pretty sure I made the biggest mess of all.

So here is what we came home with:
Tortellini Primavera
Shells Pastitsio
Meatloaf
Chicken Potato Casserole
Raspberry Glazed Chicken
Steak Fajitas
Stuffed Shells
Chicken Vegetable Soup
Chili
Pizza Crust
Chicken Enchilladas
Tator Tot Casserole
Mashed Potatoes
Macaroni & Cheese
Cinnamon Rolls
Blueberry Muffins
Banana Muffins
Brown Sugar Oat Muffins
Surprise Inside Cupcakes
Orange Creamy Dreamy Pie
Symphony Pie
Brownies
I think that is all.
We actually never finished baking the muffins or cinnamon rolls there, but we came close to completing everything on our list! Not bad for the first time doing this. It was certainly worth the work and definitely more fun making a mess with friends (and making a mess in someone else's house~ thank you Chris!).
I would be interested in different recipes that you've had success with freezing. We would like to do this again. Not anytime soon~ we need some recovery time!
Time to Eat :)

Wow! I am so hungry after reading this. What great variety and what a blessing to have all this in your freezers!

This is fantastic!!! I am so glad that you were able to do this, Nina, and what a wonderful blessing to have the help of your two friends. (The kitchen looks beautiful and so spacious!) Wow! All of you expecting the 3rd! I can see Baby Bump alreay on you. And I love the picture of Elliot on the floor. He's soooo cute, and that's blond hair I see? Other pictures his hair has looked darker. Oh, and guess what I made yesterday for breakfast...your baked oatmeal (: Those recipes that you shared with me last year when you were here are super duper. Love you and praying for you, Lai
