We got out of the house for a little while this morning and took a walk to our library. It was cold and windy, so the kids were bundled up and had their blankets along for the wagon ride. Having the library within walking distance of our house is a wonderful blessing and resource. The entire back half is an open kids room- complete with a kids computer, toy area, little tables and chairs, activity bags, reading nooks, crayons and coloring pages. Most of the times that we go, there aren't any other people in the kid's room(or the whole library, for that matter), so Emma and Elliot can roam free and I can pick out books uninterupted!
Some of today's picks:
- Curious George Visits the Library
- Curious George Makes Pancakes
- Curious George and the Birthday Surprise
- Put Me in the Zoo, Robert Lopshire
- A Bunny is Funny, H. Ziefert & F. Ehrlich
- The Very Ugly Bug, Liz Pichon
- My, Oh My- a Butterfly, Tish Rabe
- I'm A Jolly Farmer, Julia Lacome
- Froggy Gets Dressed, Jonathan London
- Max & Mo Go Apple Picking, Patricia Lakin
- A Seed Grows, P. Hickman & H. Collin
Anyone have some favorite children's books to recommend?! I'd love some suggestions.

We love Richard Scarry books and The Little Golden books around here. My husband bought tons of them right after Michael was born and we read them quite a bit. I'm not really up on all of the latest and greatest authors for childrens' books but we seem to have our fair share! ;)
