Time for a Change

My sweet hubby took care of the kids tonight so I could get pampered for a couple of hours. I returned home with shorter and lighter hair! It was time for a change, and since there are no possibilities of becoming skinnier these days, it leaves the hair to be messed with. {Please look beyond the tired, no lipstick pictures and admire the new do}

We are about to embark on yet another family travel. This time it's to Boston! It will be the first time our whole family has FLOWN together. Emma was so excited about the plane ride- which I told her about several days ago not knowing she would be asking me "are we going on the plane yet?" every other minute. The kiddos are tucked in bed- sleeping in their clothes since we have to leave the house tomorrow morning very early to catch our 7am flight out of Newport News. As we spend time with our dear friends, James and Laurie and their five (soon to be six!) children, Michael will also have the opportunity to share our burden for the church plant tomorrow night at Collin Landry's church. Michael will be coming back to VA on Saturday and I will be staying until Tuesday morning. I am so excited about this trip and can't believe I was able to manage one more flight before baby Ethan comes along. I don't think flying solo with three kids will be a smart option down the road, but you'll probably hear plans of me doing so anyways. It will be a special treat to have Michael with us- especially going through security with Emma and Elliot and boarding the plane.
Our church VBS begins on Sunday and goes through the week. Michael is heavily involved and I will be there every night upon returning from Boston. The closing night is Friday and the next morning we travel to South Carolina to present the church plant at Michael's parents church (our sending church) in Greer. We are very excited about this, but thinking about all of the activity between now and then is starting to make me feel a bit tired. I better get back to packing. . .
