Day at the Pool

My friend Annie called me this morning and asked me if I had plans for the day yet. What a fun day it was to spend with her and her two boys, Titus and Ezra at the pool! When I told Emma that we were going to the pool with T, she was very happy. But you should've seen her excitement when we got to this YMCA. Her eyes were beaming at the sight of all the fountains and pools and sprinklers! She had never been to a pool like this before and it was a great source of entertainment for several hours on this hot summer day. On the move! It's a wonder how this pregnant mama can feel so out of shape with such active spunky kids on the go all the time. But it's no wonder why I feel absolutely spent by the end of a day!!
Watch out!! The Brumbaugh boys are driving- and the one of the right is driving with his eyes closed.

A couple of days ago, Emma randomly stated "Mom, You know Titus?".
Me: "Yes, I know Titus."
Emma: (giggles) "He's my bestest friend ever."

Look at those tippy toes!

All Aboard! Best Buds. They played so well together the whole time and stuck together too. All Annie and I had to do was look for Emma's colorful hair ribbons to spot where they were.

Sweet hugs for sweet friends.

Emma's favorite thing at the pool was this slide. She went down it many, many times~ with a huge smile and girly squeals.
There she goes again! What am I ever going to do with THREE?!?!?!

"Catch me Mom!".

Just coolin' off with my juice box and shades (and letting famished Mom eat some lunch)!

Titus and Ezra. Both were having a great time~ contrary to the expressions on their faces in this picture!!

Can't forget this little guy! He loved the pool, too.
He. wore. me. out.

Because he has no fear, or maybe does not comprehend what would happen when he crawls into water too deep for him. Unlike most kids his age I've observed, he actually enjoys getting water in his face and up his nose. He did hold on to my hands and walk with me in the water for quite a while though! That was a nice break from being constantly bent over him rescuing him from getting too many facefulls of water.
After several hours of play (and way past nap times), we headed home. Elliot was out in less than a minute and Emma was soon to follow. Both were in bed before 7:30pm tonight, much to my delight. I was contemplating taking a walk, but decided that I got sufficient exercise today at the pool. I'm plumb tuckered out.
It was such a fun, fun day. Thanks so much for inviting us ANNIE!!
