Meet "Jim"

We are soooo impressed with the outcome of introducing Emma to the Leap Frog alphabet magnet learning system: One day last week while I was preparing lunch, Emma declared "Look Mom! I spelled my name!! See? ---- E-M-M-A!!" I turned around and this is what I saw: Future brother and sister piano duo? I'm not so sure. They don't appear to be working together. Don't you just love those little toes hanging off the bench though?
Elliot seems to be drawn to the piano even more than Emma does.

A couple of days ago after lunch Michael took Emma outside to get some of her energy out. A few minutes later they discovered a kitten ~ hiding under the old oil tank behind the house. Immediately Emma began talking as if the kitten had always been ours. Emma had a hard time "leaving" the kitty to go inside and take her nap. I, personally, was hoping that the kitten would mysteriously vanish between the time Emma fell asleep and woke up. A few hours later, Emma awoke and the first groggy words out of her mouth were: "Mommy, where's my kitty?!" She rushed to the window and started to meow and the kitty immediately emerged from her hiding spot and meowed back to Emma.

"There's my kitty!!"

{ as cute as this little kitty is, she is temporarily being cared for by us }
