Michael was admitted to the hospital at UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville for 4 days due to a severe flare up with his Crohns Disease. God showed His graciousness in many many ways, big and small, and our hearts are full of thankfulness and praise for His goodness in our lives. We are so blessed to be His children. God loves His own and knows those who trust in Him. He is great and owns our praise.
There were many that couldn't be here to help physically, but prayed for us steadfastly. And then there were those who ministered to us by caring for our children, providing financial help for the unplanned trip, providing accomodations, meals, visits to the hospital to pray and encourage, emails, texts...the body of Christ is a testament to the goodness of our God. We are sincerely thankful for all those who helped and prayed.
Ethan came with us on the trip, but Chrissy (and Sean...sorry, Sean...I heard he was perfect for Chrissy and cried the whole time for you...!) took care of him while I was at the hospital with Michael. Ethan got plenty of attention from Jonathan, Andrew and AnnaMarie, but I'm sure he was confused about the absence of Emma and Elliot!
When Ethan finally got to see Michael, his face lit up in the biggest smile ever. And he let our a giant screech of happiness. {it had been 4 days since he had seen daddy}
We are glad to be home. Grateful that God allowed Michael to improve a lot. Humbled at God's grace.
