Adventures!

Josh's war wounds. I made him a sword from sticks and tape, and he is using a tuperware lid as a shield. Of course, he has on his cowboy boots, too.

It's a little bit cooler up here in Boston than where we came from in VA Beach! Thankfully a girl from our church had just given us a huge bag of very nice and gently-used clothes for Emma, so we have plenty of little jeans! Yesterday I took Emma and Joshie on a walk while Laurie was doing school with the kids (they were not happy about not being able to go on the walk with us). We went "treasure hunting" in the woods and found several yellow leaves, pine cones, acorns and lots of sticks, but somehow Emma lost one of her shoes. (We looked everywhere and couldn't find it.) Josh wanted to bring all the sticks home. In the midst of all the excitement, we did have a slight incident- Joshie had his hands full of his "treasures" and tripped over a tree trunk. He skinned his arm pretty bad, so we had to go back to the house and doctor him up. Joshie is very active and frequently gets hurt, but he's pretty tough. After we bandaged up his wounds, we went back to the woods to finish treasure hunting and I think he fell atleast 5 more times even though he said he was being so careful.
Today we went back to the woods to look for the shoe...30 minutes later we finally found it. As we left the woods, Joshie exclaimed how he made it without getting hurt! (although he fell several times on the walk home since he had a handful of sticks in both hands).
It's exciting here!!!
