This little dress was given to Emma from a former student of mine who is a freshman at Elon University this year. She looks ready to go to a party!
Our little Sunshine
Emma is fascinated with picking up rocks. She also tries to eat them.

"um, is there something on my face?"

We've lived here going on 4 years and I'd never been to Mt. Trashmore (except the parking lot for a yard sale). Friday was beautiful and so I took Emma on a walk in her wagon all the way around the lake and up the huge hill. Then we played on the playground for a little while. She loved the slides and swings!
There were quite a few ducks hanging around for food. One spotted Emma eating her banana muffin, and starting to chase her. Emma was not happy about that. She was rather terrified actually, even thought the duck never got too close to her.
Funny how kids love animals in their books but when they are confronted with them in person they are petrified. The only exception so far with Emma has been dogs. Dogs don't intimidate her at all. While we were there a lady was walking her two very large dogs and Emma saw them. She tried to run after them, squealing, clapping and saying "da--wg...oof.oof!"

What a cutie pie!!! I just love looking at pictures of Emma. And I'm SO jealous that she can wear bows in her hair! Adrianna could only possibly wear bows in the back down by her neck which would look really stupid. I love Emma's pink dress. Isn't this stage just a hoot? :-)
