- Emma Grace 16 months old -

1 1/2 weeks ago- it seems as if students do better each time and become more confident in their performance. Emma and I went up to visit Erica, Steven, Regan and Carter last Friday and Saturday. That was great fun- Erica got a babysitter for the kids on Friday night and we went shopping by ourselves!!! We haven't done that since---6 years ago?!?
Unfortunately Regan got sick while we were visiting, and being the sweet sharing cousin she is gave it to Emma. So we've been comforting our little punkin as she is stuffed up, sneezing all over us and running a fever. Last night she woke up at 5am crying and I brought her to bed with us to see if she'd go back to sleep. Michael was still sleeping(it's a whitcomb guy-thing to be able to sleep through storms, gunfire, baby cries, trees falling...). All Emma wanted to do is see "dada". So she and Monkey snuggled up to him clumsely and got about 3 inches from his face and said "DADA!". He woke up.
Michael and I are really hoping we don't get sick. We are leaving for Indy Sunday after the morning service, and have Christmas parties to attend the night before.
I've been cooking and doing a little baking so that when I'm with my family we don't have to spend much time in the kitchen. (we love to eat and it goes fast with 7 kids).
I will be disconnected from the internet world over the holidays and have a feeling that I won't miss it a bit!
We love all of you, and pray that as you celebrate this fun holiday with family and friends you will spend reflective time and grateful jubilation as you remember our Saviour's birth. Give Him the glory that is due- for He came to this world to save us! Praise our Redeemer!

The pictures are adorable!!! What a little sweetie. I'll be praying that you and Michael don't get sick this weekend. Drink lots of fresh lemons - my mother-in-law swears by them for warding off colds. :-) Hope you two have a wonderful Christmas in Indy! Wish we could be there to see you!
Love,
Kris
