Memorial Day

Some of our church friends have a place down in NC near the Abemarle Sound. We were invited to spend the holiday with them there. Emma had her first ever boat ride and loved it. Along with seeing a snake, while we were out on the boat Sunday evening, we met up with "Turtle Dundee". He caught three turtles this size in one of his traps and told us he sells them for $1 a pound. Those turtles were not friendly at all and left the guy with a few bloody gashes. Can you believe the size of that thing?! "Shishy!" Emma was intruiged by the fish that they had caught. Chris let her touch one before cleaning it up and grilling it :)
Here I am: very prego. I'm starting to feel like the bottom half of my body is no longer connected to the upper half of my body. Yes, I'm afraid I waddle a bit...mostly when my back is really bothering me. I've had a few contractions, but don't anticipate Elliot arriving quite yet- still have stuff to get done!!!
I love these two:

Your 2 vacations looked like they were so much fun! I am so glad you were able to relax and enjoy your family of 3 after such a busy season in your lives! The next season will be even busier...but so full of blessings:)
Your house looks so cheery with the new paint! I can't wait to see your garden with 17 tomato plants!!!! I planted 5 this summer since you won't be around to help supplement my garden this summer! I miss the days of you being so close...but am glad your new location makes you feel safe and sound:)
You look so good Nina! I am praying for you as you enjoy these last few days and moments with Emma as your only attention grabber! Having 2 is so much fun...but these last few days will be so sweet to remember!
I was in Williamsburg last night and had such a great flashback to the Yankee Candle Store with you and Emma! Good Times! i thank the Lord for your friendship over the last year and a half!
