Judging by the milk all over Elliot's face, here is one serious guzzler:
Soon after Elliot was born, I realized that Emma would be needing some different toys that she would be able to entertain herself with. So a few days ago, I used some gift cards and went to Toys-R-Us and bought her a mini broom, shopping cart, fake food set, cash register and a set of pots and pans. While she was sleeping that night, I set everything up for her. The next morning it was like Christmas. She was so cute- she kept gasping and going from one thing to the next with such drama. All girl I'll tell ya. She was "cook-in'" and "shoppin" all day long! She did try feeling Elliot some of her fake fries and I also caught her sticking the key to her cash register in his mouth. Here is the little chef- "cookin' fruit loops in her new pans".
Elliot is such a good baby. We are so thankful and are having such fun with a newborn around again. He is a snuggle bug, unless he is getting his diaper changed.
We took a few pictures after church Sunday morning- Elliot is one week old in this picture. There are some others that I really wanted to post but for some reason I can't figure out how to change them to be viewed horizontally on Michael's laptop.
Our church has VBS this week. It has been going very well and the kids are really enjoying it. Emma isn't old enough to be in a class yet, but the nursery workers have been taking her and her little friends into most of the different rooms for activities, snacks, music and stories. She has loved it and talks about going every day. I've been able to go as well- helping wherever is needed. Michael is leading all the music along with doing other odds and ends. It has been such a neat week to see our church body come together and serve so joyfully.
Michael's parents visited the week Elliot was born. When they left last Friday morning, I cried, and waited for something to explode or fall from the sky. Nothing ever did, but life is a little bit different with two kids. I couldn't be more happy being home with Emma and Elliot, and we are loving our town and ministry and friends.
