It is so good to be home! We are enjoying ourselves very much just trying to get back on a normal schedule again. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind since Grandpa's unexpected homegoing, unplanned traveling, being out of our house for a week while we had a new heating system installed, and just trying to get the last minute Christmas gifts. Thankfully I had planned somewhat ahead for most of our presents, but along with rehearsals for the Christmas Choir Program and Christmas plays, things got pretty hectic, dishes and laundry piled up and we were really looking forward to being in South Carolina with Michael's family. We had planned to leave for SC on Monday, but we had our Christmas events all day at church the day before and by Monday, I still had loads of laundry to do, pack, clean the house, finish wrapping presents, wash dirty dishes...I was literally running around the house trying to get ready to leave by noon. My sweet husband came in and said we would leave the next day instead- what a relief that was!
Our time with Michael's family was really nice. The day after Christmas, Michael and I took a short trip to Atlanta for our 6th anniversary- glad we planned that a while ago too! We stayed in the Buckhead area and got to tour the World of Coke and do some sightseeing downtown.
I have a lot of pictures from our break, so here are just a few of my favorites. If you'd like to see them all, click here:

Elliot has been playing contently with Emma's "not-so-manly" toys up until Christmas time! He loves his new toys, but his favorite thing was trying to eat the wrapping paper!
Emma was an angel in the toddler Christmas play. She walked down the aisle with her thumb in her mouth, looking dazed at the crowd. Her line was "GLORY {(to God)we couldn't get her to say that part} IN THE HIGHEST!"- which she said perfectly, just a little bit late :)

Emma checks out Elliot's new toy.

The Whitcombs

My little man- already 6 months old! Can you see his two bottom teeth? He is working on more too= drool drool and more drool.

No matter how good it is to be away, it is always good to get home! Great picture of the kids in front of the tree. It's a hard thing to get at those ages.

Brian and Lai

I always love the pictures and can't believe how Emma and Elliot have grown. I loved talking with you on New Year's (: Thanks so much for calling...I've already written you and will be sending it out this week. Please come again this March! Love, Lai
