Hot Air Balloons

While in Fishersville this past weekend visiting the Godden's and working on some other things involving the church plant of the valley, we attended the closing VBS events of Sean and Chrissy's current church: Lexington Baptist Church, where Michael Wilburn, fellow CBTS graduate, is the pastor. We enjoyed some great grilled food, games and even hot air balloons. They were giving tethered hot air balloon rides for whoever dared getting into the basket. I was not one of those people. All I could imagine was getting into that basket, the balloon coming untethered and going into labor way way up in the sky. (I know, the chances of that happening are rather slim, but I was not going to take the chance).

Emma was very excited about the hot air balloons until she heard the "fire" shooting into the balloons. As you can see from the picture, it was much too noisy for her liking, so we mostly watched from a safe distance.
