Family Fun

We look forward to Friday nights around here because they are either spent as "family night" or "date night" (with the majority of them being family nights). Michael and I take turns with planning and we always have a blast. Just knowing that Friday nights are reserved for special times together makes it such an anticipated event! Tonight we spent our time in Smithfield- a quaint little town just 20 minutes from our house. First we enjoyed dinner at Z's Restaurant, then headed over to a car show, followed by the boardwalk at Smithfield Station, and finished by enjoying an outdoor band concert at the Smithfield Times Pavilion. Here are some of the pictures from our fun evening! Mommy and Bubs at Z's, waiting patiently for our yummy dinner.
Mommy and Emma (who is going to be turning 3 in a week- can you believe it!?)
At the car show with Daddy. I'm sure Elliot got an education on the engines of each car while Michael carried him around. Emma stuck with me and we mostly observed pretty paint jobs :)

Ooh, I love this picture of my boys!!

To the Boardwalk at Smithfield Station! Emma was super excited about seeing the boats and getting to pick out an ice cream cone at the candy store. Except, once we got in the candy store, she decided on a lollipop instead of the ice cream!
All S. M. I. L. E. S.
I'm usually behind the camera, but made sure that Michael got a picture of me tonight since I don't have many of myself pregnant with Ethan. 37 Weeks and COUNTING..

Have I mentioned that this kid is walking everywhere now?! He is walking, spinning around, and, today he has been trying to JUMP.
On the pier, looking at the boats with Daddy.

Smithfield Station

An outdoor band concert in downtown Smithfield at the pavilion- the only possible way to attend a concert with two kids under the age 3: free to roam a little bit, free to sip on lemonade, free to make some noise, free to dance and hop around!
We cherish these times together as a family and put effort into making Friday nights a special time. Michael has been sick with a flareup for the past couple of weeks, making tonight extra special since he felt good enough to go out for a bit. And, of course, we know that our Friday nights will be spent mostly at home once B.A.B.Y. arrives :) Enjoying the last few weeks of being a family of four!

I love your blog Nina. It's great way for pa joe to keep up with stuff! You should see the great pics Britt and Sam put together of wedding time. There are some incredible shots of the little cousins together. We gave another similar set to the greatgrandparent Marcellos. We're excited about little Ethan! Love Dad

That looks like so much fun! We visited Smithfield for the first time last September, and I loved the quaint little town. Hard to believe you are only days away from being a family of five! Can't wait to hear the news! :)
