First visit to new Doctor's at UVA Medical Center
So, you ask ~ why has it been such a long time between the last post and this one? Michael has been very sick since the weekend before Thanksgiving ~ he has been on bedrest for part of that time, but has since gotten a little relief since his new doctor prescribed a pain killer for him. We are still waiting to hear results regarding a possible viral infection, pending tests that will be performed this coming Tuesday at UVA. They will be scanning the lower 3rd of his colon during a procedure that they are supposed to put him all the way out for {pray that the anesthesia really works, because in all of his previous colonoscopys he has waken during the procedure and been in intense pain}.
Still trusting God for all matters, even when it has been tough and exhausting. We love our Saviour and are rejoicing with thanksgiving for this time we can reflect on the birth of a Savior.
Over the next few weeks, we have friends coming in, family visiting, more doctor appointments {which means more trips to Charlottesville}, Christmas shopping, a new nephew due any day {who does not have a name chosen for him yet!}, Christmas cards to mail, presents to wrap...a lot going on. We are trying to be intentional in our efforts to not be caught up in the hubbub of the season and have meaningful times as a family to give praise to our great God.
